Most patios get overlooked. The concrete gets worn, stained, or just plain dull - and homeowners either ignore it or throw down a rug to cover it up. Neither fix actually solves the problem. This is the kind of job that shows what a properly coated patio can actually look like when the right system goes down.
We went with a Creekbed flake system on this one. It starts with a poly gray tinted base coat, which gives the surface that cool, neutral foundation. Then the flakes go down - a mix of whites, tans, grays, and darker tones that come together in a natural, earthy pattern. The whole thing gets locked in with a clear poly topcoat that hardens the surface and brings out the depth in the flake blend.
What makes this system worth talking about is that it's not just about looks. The polyurea topcoat is what handles the real-world abuse - UV exposure, foot traffic, moisture, temperature swings. Outdoor surfaces take a beating, and a standard epoxy alone won't cut it long-term. The poly topcoat is what keeps this floor looking sharp season after season without constant upkeep.
The Creekbed color blend specifically works really well on patios. It reads as natural and understated, so it doesn't compete with the landscaping or the home's exterior. That flat, clean finish you get from the epoxy flakes combined with the sheen of the topcoat makes the space look intentional - like it was designed that way from the start. Low maintenance, high durability, and genuinely good-looking. That's the goal on every patio we coat.
